The first PTA meeting of the year. Even though conservatively, we are about thirty students and four teachers short, we are still the largest elementary school in the CNMI. There are over 870 students and staff and we haven't had a secretary since February. Is it just me or is that wrong? I spent the entire day calculating the timesheet. The whole day folks. Again, is it just me or is there something better I can be doing with my time?

I am deeply honored to have a link on your blog, and wow, I'm even at the top of the list how cool is that...usually I'm at the bottom. I'll be sure and return the favor asap. oh and regarding your post...yeah, its just you.
1195 employees at PSS and no secretary for the biggest elementary school on the island? Only 530some are teachers so what are the rest of these 660+ folks doing? Looks like twenty of them should be school secretaries. From what I've heard, none of them are janitors either. What about 20 of those?
Bryan: I like to ask stupid questions. I deserved that answer. Bruce: PSS HRO is saying that the Senate hasn't approved my hiring of a secretary for my school yet. I am so tempted to verify this, but at the same time, sometimes the truth hurts.
Wow, so it literally takes an act of Congress to get a secretary...hmm, and they say things aren't run effeciently here...
So what would happen if you just hired one anyway? Would they shoot you at dawn? Would they tar and feather you for daring to operate your school in an organized efficient and professional manner?
This sucks. A senator gets $150,ooo plus plus plus and hires scads of sitters-by-the-door and you can't have a secretary? Did I mention that this sucks?
I can't just hire one, HRO approves all hires according to how they see fit, based on the budget finance approves even though I am supposedly "site based managed". I just got word that my secretary was approved, now we'll see how long it will take to get one on board.
